Compression Refret

Old Guitars without Adjustable Truss Rods really benefit from Compression Refret.

Frets off, and start to level the fretboard…

Fretboard now leveled and ready for frets…

Frets installed, neck is looking nice and straight…

    Wow Keith!

These repair videos are great!! It’s really cool to learn all the details that go into doing a repair in an excellent way so that the guitar does more than just function again. But with that attention to detail it will play better and have even better TONE!!

Really enjoying seeing how you do your voodoo!!

My old Guild D-35 may need some of this leveling…It has a truss rod but it displays some of the characteristic you described. I know the frets are toast (but as you know with me, I continue to wear those babies right down to the wood and just keep raising he action to try and keep her playing!! lol!!).

I’ll have to get her in there for some TLC and a new lease on life. Maybe after the strat you’re building me is finished. Or after I get that Breedlove I’ve been dreaming of!! Oh boy, always the thinking big!! I’m lovin’ it!

Thanks for sharing your expertise and methods! Peace!!
